Last month marked an important milestone for our foundation as we began our first month of operations. Determined to understand the needs of the communities we aim to support, our team visited the village of Bumbuneg, near San Gabriel, along with other surrounding areas. These visits were a crucial step in connecting with residents, listening to their stories, and assessing the challenges they face daily.
In Bumbuneg, we were met with warm smiles and open hearts. Families and children welcomed us into their homes, sharing their lives and stories with us. One particularly touching moment, as shown in the photo, was when we gathered in a home with children from the neighbourhood. The room was filled with laughter, music, and joy as the children sang songs, listened to stories, and played the guitar. Despite the challenges of poverty, their hope and optimism shone brightly, leaving a lasting impression on us.
These visits revealed not just the struggles but also the incredible resilience of the people in these communities. The strength and positivity they exhibit in the face of adversity inspire us to work harder to bring meaningful change to their lives.
This is just the beginning of our mission to serve Bumbuneg and nearby villages. By building relationships and understanding their unique needs, we aim to provide targeted support that fosters hope and opportunity.
