First Week of School Meals Delivered to San Gabriel Vocational High School

This week marked a significant milestone for our foundation as we provided free school meals to students at San Gabriel Vocational High School for the first time. The initiative aims to support students’ well-being and academic performance by ensuring they have access to nutritious meals during the school day.

The response from the students was heartwarming. Many were surprised and delighted, as free school meals had never been available to them before. For some, it was their first experience of receiving such support, and the smiles on their faces were a testament to the positive impact this program is already making.

The school staff played a crucial role in the success of the program’s launch. Their coordination ensured the smooth delivery and distribution of meals to all students. The meals, thoughtfully prepared to meet nutritional needs, consisted of three portions: rice, meat, and vegetables, offering a balanced and satisfying option for students.

This initiative is just the beginning of our efforts to alleviate food insecurity and support education in the La Union province. By addressing hunger, we hope to remove one of the barriers to learning, allowing students to focus on their studies and achieve their full potential.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who has supported this program, from donors to volunteers and school staff. Together, we are making a difference, one meal at a time. Stay tuned for updates as we continue this journey to nurture and empower the next generation.
